- Chlamydia’s Hidden Risks: Chlamydia trachomatis is among the most common sexually transmitted infections worldwide. It is often asymptomatic. If left undetected, it can lead to chronic inflammation, pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), and tubal damage in women.
- The Silent Progression of Hepatitis C: Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is often asymptomatic in the early stage, yet more than 50% of infected individuals may go on to develop chronic hepatitis. If left undetected, it can progress to serious complications such as cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.
- Syphilis and Systemic Complications: Syphilis is caused by the spirochete bacterium Treponema pallidum and usually spreads through sexual contact. Additionally, it can be transmitted from a mother to her baby during pregnancy or birth, resulting in congenital syphilis.

Diagnostic Note: A reactive or positive result on screening tests (like VDRL for Syphilis or HIV I & II antibodies) does not independently confirm a final diagnosis. Such results require clinical correlation and further confirmatory testing (like PCR or Western Blot).
