Food Intolerance Sample Report and Result Format
Find how the results are presented
The sample PDF includes a Food Groups view and an Order of Reactivity view. Each entry has a numerical IgG concentration. The second view arranges the entries by antibody level.
- Individual food and protein results
- Color-coded laboratory categories
- Sample, analysis, and report information
- General laboratory interpretation notes
Read the antibody categories
| Report category | IgG concentration | Color |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | ≤23 U/mL | Green |
| Borderline | 24–29 U/mL | Yellow |
| Elevated | ≥30 U/mL | Red |
These are laboratory antibody bands, not grades of symptom severity. The colors do not identify which foods cause a person’s symptoms.
The sample includes general dietary guidance. A personal diet plan needs a separate assessment of symptoms, eating habits, and nutritional needs.

FAQs About the Food Intolerance IgG Profile
Does an elevated milk result mean I have lactose intolerance?
No. Milk entries in this profile concern antibody binding to milk proteins. Lactose is the sugar in milk, and lactose intolerance concerns insufficient lactase enzyme activity. A clinician investigates it using symptoms, dietary history, and, when needed, a hydrogen breath test. [4]
Are the gliadin and transglutaminase entries the same as a celiac disease panel?
No. The entries in this food IgG profile do not constitute a standard celiac disease investigation. Celiac testing uses specific blood tests, commonly tissue transglutaminase IgA with assessment of total IgA, and sometimes intestinal biopsy. The appropriate tests depend on the clinical situation. [5]
Does the profile include prepared foods such as paneer, curd, or a complete meal?
The linked sample report lists individual foods, ingredients, and proteins. Paneer, curd, and complete recipes do not appear as separate entries. A milk result is not a separate result for every dairy product, and a recipe cannot be assigned a result by adding its ingredient values.
Why can a food I have never eaten have a numerical IgG result?
Antibody binding can involve similar proteins in different foods, a phenomenon called cross-reactivity. Hidden ingredients are another possible source of exposure. The numerical result alone establishes neither that you ate a particular food nor that it causes symptoms.
Is a personalized meal plan or dietitian consultation included in the price?
The profile includes the laboratory report and access to the general FoodPrint® Patient Guidebook. A personalized meal plan or dietitian consultation is a separate service. Confirm availability and charges if you need either when booking.
Can a normal IgG result rule out an existing food allergy?
No. IgG and IgE are different antibodies. A normal IgG result does not rule out an IgE-mediated food allergy or establish that a known allergen is safe to eat. Existing allergy advice remains relevant regardless of this report. [2]
Medical Interpretation and Medical Review Information
What food-specific IgG means
Food-specific IgG is commonly detected after exposure to food. It can occur in people who eat those foods without symptoms. A higher IgG concentration therefore does not establish an intolerance, an allergy, or a need to remove that food. AAAAI and CSACI recommend against using these panels for diagnosis. [1] [2]
For recurring bloating, abdominal discomfort, or other symptoms after eating, clinical assessment starts with the symptoms, dietary history, and the suspected cause. A clinician can choose appropriate investigations and a supervised dietary trial when indicated. [3]
The sample report’s elimination and rotation instructions are general laboratory guidance. They do not establish a personalized treatment plan or validate a diagnosis.
The reviewer profile describes the site’s medical review team. Individual report interpretation and personalized diet consultations are separate clinical services.
