Thyrocare’s Jaanch Healthy Heart Basic Profile covers 17 crucial parameters to detect the possibility of any heart risk. The panel covers four cardiac risk markers, one advanced cardiac risk marker, one heart attack risk test, and the complete lipid profile. It’s a very affordable panel that can effectively screen for heart health.

Along with all the tests of the Jaanch Health Screen Basic, this panel also covers comorbid factors like diabetes and kidney health. As cardiovascular diseases, kidney dysfunction, and sugar metabolism disorder can affect each other, all these tests are included in this panel. This profile was previously known as Jaanch Healthy Heart Advanced

It’s an excellent profile that includes all blood tests associated with cardiovascular health and comorbidity.

The profile covers all cardiac risk markers, all cardiac biomarkers, high-sensitive Troponin I, complete lipid profile, LFT, KFT, HbA1c, CBC, calcium, sodium, and chloride. The significance tests in this panel are NT-proBNP, LP-PLA2, CPK, CPK-MP, and Homocysteine.

Jaanch Heart Screen Advanced by Thyrocare is carefully curated by top cardiologists in India. The objective of the profile is to ensure that the tests in the panel can effectively screen for heart risk and comorbid factors.

Know Your Cardiac Biomarkers  and Heart Health Screening Blood Tests

  • Total Cholesterol Test: The test result can indicate how much cholesterol is in your blood. However, the test fails to analyze the amount of good, bad, and very bad cholesterol in your blood and their ratios. Therefore, it’s not a helpful test.
  • Lipid Profile Tests: It’s a profile that can give a clear picture of good, bad, and very bad cholesterol in your blood and their ratios. However, the test results fail to tell about any ongoing heart issues or predict any near-future heart disease.
  • High-sensitive CRP Test: It’s a single marker that can tell more about any inflammation in cardiac tissues. Unlike a basic CRP test, the HS-CRP test result is more precise. The test can also better diagnose whether there is any very harmful cardiac inflammation or a less harmful inflammation in any other organ or body part. Due to the high sensitivity of the assay, the report is highly reliable.
  • Cardiac/Heart Risk Marker Profile with HS-CRP: Along with the High-sensitive CRP, the profile covers APO A1, APO B, Lipoprotein A, and their ratios. APO A1 is the micro-level protein portion of HDL, the good cholesterol. APO B is the micro-level protein portion of LDL and VLDL, the bad cholesterol. Both are sticky substances that are either helpful or harmful in their roles in creating cardiac plagues. Their ratio can better predict heart risk. Likewise, Lipoprotein A is another heart risk marker associated with bad cholesterol, but it’s a hereditary factor. You can’t control its rise by lifestyle changes, but you can be careful in lowering LDL, VLDL, Triglycerides, and APO so that Lipoprotein B can’t harm you. A Cardiac Risk Marker Profile result is much more helpful than a basic Lipid Profile result.
  • Homocysteine, the Advanced Heart Risk Marker: Homocysteine is another reliable and highly sensitive independent marker to detect heart disease. It’s an independent and advanced risk marker.
  • Troponin I Rapid Test: This test is only suggested for the emergency department of hospitals to determine whether there was a heart attack within the last few hours. In routine health checkups, it’s not a significant blood test.
  • High-sensitive Troponin I Heart Attack Test: It’s a very useful test that can detect whether there was an unconscious heart attack during the last few months or whether there may be any risk of it in the next few months. The blood test is more sensitive than other physical tests like ECG, Echocardiogram, and TMT. Due to the high sensitivity of the assay, it’s more reliable.
  • LP-PLA2: It’s an independent biomarker associated with cardiac plaque and inflammation in heat muscles due to the same. In association with High-sensitive Troponin I, HS-CRP, and Homocysteine tests, the LP-PLA2 test can give a clear picture of heart risk status. The test assay is highly reliable due to the advanced research and technology associated with it.
  • CPK and CPK Muscle Brain: Both cardiac biomarkers, in association with each other, assist in diagnosing acute myocardial inflammation. The tests also diagnose inflammation in brain muscles and blood clots.  In both the cases of cardiac and brain tissue damage, the test results can be life-saving.
  • NT-ProBNP: It’s one of the crucial biomarkers that can detect stress and heart failure. It’s known as a gold standard cardiac risk marker.

  • What is a Jaanch Profile by Thyrocare?

A Jaanch Profile by Thyrocare is a carefully curated package of blood tests that focuses on advanced and accurate diagnosis of a specific disease or disorder. There are separate Jaanch profiles to diagnose various diseases, such as diabetes, thyroid, STD, cancer, cardiovascular health, and others.

  • What is a Jaanch Heart Screen Panel?

A Jaanch Health Screen panel is a profile of advanced blood tests that aims to diagnose heart risk and cardiovascular diseases with adequacy and efficiency. In other words, it's a preventive health checkup panel that focuses on heart health. There are three different levels of Jaanch Heart Screen panels, namely, Basic, Advanced, and Comprehensive. Previously, the Jaanch Heart Screen panels were known as Jaanch Healthy Heart profiles.

  • Who should choose a Jaanch Heart Screen panel?

All adults in their thirties to sixties should get the Jaanch Heart Screen tests once or twice a year. It will help them monitor their heart health and risk of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) through proper screening.

  • What are the significances of the Heart Screen blood test panels?

Regular cardiac marker blood tests can help you monitor your heart health and cardiac risk. The blood tests in a comprehensive heart screen profile have the following significances:

    • Cardiac inflammatory markers, such as high-sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), diagnose inflammation in cardiac muscles and vessels. The hs-CRP level between 3 mg/L and 10 mg/L indicates a high risk of cardiovascular diseases. Timely detection can prompt you to seek proper medical advice.
    • If the cardiac risk markers, including apolipoproteins and their ratios, are beyond normal ranges, it indicates the likelihood of heart disease. So, regular monitoring of the levels of apolipoproteins is beneficial.
    • Lipoprotein A contributes to plaque buildup in the arteries. Although the lipoprotein A level doesn't change over time, the test result with other cardiac risk markers can help evaluate the risk of CVDs.
    • High-sensitive troponin I is a strong indicator of heart muscle damage and heart attack. Due to the high sensitivity of the assay, the accuracy of this test is more reliable than a rapid Troponin I test.
    • Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (LP-PLA2) is a key indicator of plaque in the heart vessels. The test assesses CVD risk.
    • N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) is a strong marker of heart stress and failure.
    • Elevated homocysteine can damage blood vessels and harm the heart.
    • Tests in the lipid profile help monitor various cholesterol levels and their ratios. Low HDL levels and elevated levels of LDL, VLDL, and triglycerides indicate risk to the heart.
    • Measurement of creatine phosphokinase (CPK) and creatine phosphokinase - muscle-brain (CPK-MB) helps diagnose heart damage.
    • Electrolytes are crucial for heart function. Routine electrolyte tests can help monitor heart health.
    • HbA1c test measures the blood sugar level for a period of 80 to 90 days. High blood sugar levels affect heart health.
    • Abnormal blood cell counts and sizes sometimes indicate underlying CVDs. So, a CBC test can indirectly help in assessing heart health.
    • Kidney dysfunction leads to high blood pressure, electrolyte imbalance, and anemia, which can increase the risk of CVDs.
    • Both liver and heart health are interconnected. They affect each other. Liver diseases like fatty liver can lead to CVDs. A CVD can also impact liver function.
